Mid Cap Value

Small Cap Value

LMCG’s Value strategies are managed by the LMCG Value team. The team applies a classic value investment style focusing on solid companies whose stock is temporarily out of favor in the market. The strategies emphasize companies with higher returns on capital, free cash flow and strong balance sheets. These companies often dominate a particular industry niche. Generally these industries have significant barriers to entry and, as a result, are able to perpetuate a higher return on capital over time. Additionally, the strategies will invest in more cyclical companies with somewhat lower returns on capital when the market does not currently appreciate the company’s long-term earnings.

Small Cap Growth

LMCG’s Growth team believes that the small cap growth universe is inefficient and can be exploited by identifying unrecognized growth potential, that which is not currently seen, misinterpreted or misunderstood, before others.  We believe that these companies can be identified by bottom up fundamental research accomplished through industry-specific screening models and in-depth knowledge of the driving forces affecting those companies. Key characteristics that help act as a catalyst for recognition are factors such as revenue growth, margin expansion and positive surprises and revisions. Valuation analysis plays a critical role in establishing a high conviction portfolio and ensuring that one does not overpay for future growth.
